Trek Overview & Details

⛰️ The Mountains

Features the challenging Khnang Phsar grasslands plateau peaking at 1,175 meters. The trail involves a steep 12km mountain ridge climb across rocky paths, opening up into rolling meadows of pine trees that settle above the morning cloud layer.

🌳 The Forests

A dense tropical rainforest corridor housing endangered birds, gibbons, and clouded leopards. The forest canopy blocks out direct sunlight, keeping the damp ground terrain highly active with leeches during the rainy season.

💧 The Waterfalls

Tucked deep along the wilderness routes is the legendary multi-tiered Chhay Yong Waterfall. Reaching this water source requires advanced trekking experience and navigation through uncharted river gorges.

👥 The Communities

Ecotourism in this corridor is coordinated via the Osoam Community-Based Ecotourism (CBET). Booking local community guides and rangers directly offsets deforestation by offering stable, poaching-alternative incomes.
